How Can severe Headache Along With Nausea Be Treated?
About 1 hour ago I hit my head right of center with the corner of the cabinet after bending down. The pain was a bit intense and I had to lean on the wall. I was a bit nauseous but not dizzy. I immediately got a felt a slight headache coming on. No bump. Any need for concern?
There are certain criteria , one of these is called the New Orleans Criteria, that are used to determine if a CT is required after a minor head injury. Headache is one of the criteria used to determine if a CT is needed.
Vomiting, memory loss, seizures, age over 60, drug or alcohol use, visible sign of trauma.. are the other criteria.
If you still have the headache then you should be seen.
I hope this helps
